It is a fact that the principle of "hands meet face to face" is a crucial element of our routine however, it is evident that there's a rising faith and need to be face-to-face with people. Rotary is, however, changed. It is not without a degree of uncertainty that will continue to grow as we progress into summer 2021. It is yet to be determined if those human connections Rotary members cherished previously will be maintained. It is not clear if the mantra "hands meet in front of each other" is expected to be an integral part of our routine however, it is clear that there's a rising faith and need to be face-to-face with people. Rotary is, however, having changed. Rotary's networks create bonds lasting. The pandemic served as an impetus for us to adopt the latest technology. The way we conduct our business has been redesigned to ensure that we have online meetings within our organizations, and we are introducing services and social activities in an in-person format. These new options are paired with the best practices for preventing pandemics to provide a fresh and exciting outlook for Rotary. It's encouraging to know that 75 percent of Rotary clubs are planning to carry on their "business like usual" routines. In the summer months there have been a lot of Rotary members were out with their families and friends, working on various initiatives, including beach and river clean-ups, litter removal and beach cleanups.
