Nancy O'Dell's initial work in the industry of broadcast was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later worked as morning news anchor and the crime reporter at WCBD TV. The work of O'Dell on the streets of Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the instances. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. In the years following her stay at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. After that, she became a part of Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell is the anchor of choice for Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She has co-hosted a variety of Pre-ShowArrivals programs to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. In addition, she hosted the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
